I am on my way east for a week of genetic genealogy in-depth study at GRIP, the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburg, a premier genealogy institute. My colleagues and I will be studying with CeCe Moore, one of the nation’s preeminent genealogists and a leader in the field of genetic genealogy, along with other national experts.
We will be staying on campus in dorm rooms, something I didn’t even do at college, so forget packing light. Following the advice of genealogists who have gone before me, I’m taking everything a functional dorm room needs – a lamp, a fan, an Ethernet cable, protein bars, my own pillow, TP and a whole lot more…
Wish me luck. I'm confident I'll return with a brain full of tools and insights to share.
