Family stories. Undiscovered heritage. Long-held myths.
I first was drawn to history - a deep study into an unknown area of the world that somehow felt like home. Years later, when I attended my first professional genealogy conference, I instinctively knew I had arrived home.
Genealogy combines the deep research, analytic skills and mix of intuition and curiosity that catches and keeps my attention. It's an addiction that keeps me up until all hours of the night. Whether it is validating and building out a basic family tree, mapping chromosones to chart the migration of a population, or solving a family mystery, most nights I will suddenly look up from my research, startled that dawn is breaking and realize I have spent another night deep in a family's history.
I'm looking forward to sharing what I know here. I want to post news and information that will help you with your own family research. I have big plans to post often - but let's be honest, I probably won't. If you don't hear from me for a while, you will know that I am deep in historical records from some bygone era, trying to find someone's lost grandfather or trying to untangle a family's fact from its fiction.
Come back often and let's talk.
